Welcome to the Chicago Metropolitan Chapters (CMC) new home website. This was one of the chapter boards’ goals back in 2013. After a slow start and changing developer's a couple of times, I was told that the only task left was to write this message. If that was really only true, rather, this is to give notice that the site is now up and functioning. As with any project, we have great plans for this new website and will be updating regularly with the intent that it becomes a great resource for our members and allows other non-associated appraisers in the greater Midwest to see why they should join the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers. If you have belonged to NAIFA or another association in the past, or thought about becoming a candidate member or just simply interested networking with other fellow appraisers, this new website will provide you with useful information that can help you in your development and career as an appraiser. Whether you’re an independent fee appraiser working from your home, a staff appraiser for a bank or AMC, a government appraiser, or someone who just wants to know about the appraisal profession please, take the time to explore through all the links. I encourage anyone who visits this site to provide us with feedback, suggestions and most importantly what else would you like to see on it which would make you want to visit it more regularly.
